Well, if you have been
to Bujumbura, then you can join me on this and if you have never been
there...that is ok, i will give you the highlights of what to expect. One
thing, if you have been to big Airports, now this is the different story as it
may look like an airfield
We left the airport
and headed Bujumbura town for lunch at Saga Residence that has a spectacular
view of Lake Tanganyika and on over night. No not forget to check on the guy
who will welcome you there (The Chimpanzee) and he is ready to do for you some
acrobatics and escort you as you head for breakfast.
The next thing to do
was to relax at the beautiful beaches of Lake Tanganyika in the evening as we
prepared for the next day to explore the source of River Nile in Rutovu.
While in Bujumbura
Look out for;
- Lake Tanganyika's beaches
- Snake park
- Cultural dances at the Snake park
- Traditional markets
- Stanley Monument
